After a short illness, there passed away in the Forbes District Hospital on Wednesday afternoon an old resident of the Grawlin district. We refer to Mrs. Sarah Ann Bass, relict of the late John Bass, who passed away in 1927, and mother of the late Mr. George Bass, whose death only took place on November 19. There are three surviving sons, Messrs. William (Narromine) and John and Herbert (Forbes), and one daughter, Miss Bass, who is at present on the sick list.
The funeral yesterday afternoon was to the Church of England cemetery, Rev. A. E. White officiating at the graveside.⁴
