After a short illness, there passed away in the Forbes District Hospital on Wednesday afternoon an old resident of the Grawlin district. We refer to Mrs. Sarah Ann Bass, relict of the late John Bass, who passed away in 1927, and mother of the late Mr. George Bass, whose death only took place on November 19. There are three surviving sons, Messrs. William (Narromine) and John and Herbert (Forbes), and one daughter, Miss Bass, who is at present on the sick list.
The funeral yesterday afternoon was to the Church of England cemetery, Rev. A. E. White officiating at the graveside.;Principal=Sarah Ann Richards2

OBITUARY
Mr, Herbert Bass
The death took place at an early hour on Friday morning, at his home at Grawlin, of Mr. Herbert Bass, a district farmer of many years standing.
The deceased, who was 47 years of age and a single man, had recently returned from Sydney, where he had undergone treatment.
In his younger days the deceased, who was a most successful farmer, was a well-known cricketer. He was a life member of the M.U.I.O.O.F. and took a keen interest in children's health centres
The only remaining member of a large family is a brother, Mr. William Bass, of Narromine.
The funeral of the deceased took place on Saturday afternoon, to the Church of England cemetery, after a service at St. John's Church, conducted by the Rev. Canon Willie.
Relatives from Sydney, Orange, Wellington, Parkes and Griffith attended the funeral.
Mr. A. G. Jones had charge of the mortuary arrangements.3
