Marriage* | 22 January 1929 | St Columba's Church, Condobolin, NSW, Australia; Wedding Bells MOONEY—ROBINSON St. Columba's Church was the scene of a very pretty wedding on Tuesday evening of last week, when Miss Mavis Robinson, third daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. Robinson, of Condobolin, became the wife of Mr. "Ambo" Mooney, eldest son of Mr. P. J. Mooney and the late Mrs. Mooney of Avondale station, Condobolin. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Father O'Brien, and many were present in the church. Mrs. E. Finn presided at the organ. The bride certainly looked very pretty, attired in a charming frock of ivory crepe de chine, heavily embossed with crystals. The handsome Brussell's net veil was held in place with a chaplet of orange blossoms, and true lover's knots of satin and orange blossoms trimmed the pink lined train. Misses Connie Bouffler and Maurine Robinson attended as bridesmaids, and Shiela Mcintosh made a sweet little flower girl. Mr. Neil Mcintosh was best man and Mr. John O'Keefe groomsman. During the signing of the register Miss Mangelsdorf sang Gounod's "Ave Marie" in fine style. The reception was held at the Masonic Hall supper room, where Mrs. Robinson received the large number of guests. The chief toast, that of the "Bride and Bridegroom," was proposed by the Mayor, Ald. H. C. Moulder, and responded to by the bridegroom. Displayed in the room were the many beautiful wedding presents, including a large number of cheques. The bride travelled in an ensemble suit of maroon crepe de chine when leaving for the honeymoon, which will include a motor tour. ;Groom=Thomas P Mooney2,3 |
