OBITUARY
MR. P. M. MACINNES.
The death occurred on Sunday morning Iast of Mr. Percy Morton MacInnes, of "Baroona" estate, Balladoran, after a short illness. Pneumonia was the cause. Deceased was only 44 years old, and had been married only six years. Mrs. Maclnnes being a Melbournian.
Deceased was a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ewen Maclnnes, of Brlsbane-street, Dubbo. He leave four children and his wife to mourn his loss. The children are Margaret Ellen (5), Laura Alice (1), Morton Walter (2), and Ronald Uphill (3). Mr. P. H. Mnclnnes, of "Warrlnga," Eumungerle, is a brother.
Deceased was a member of a very old and respected family, who for years followed successfully farming and pastoral pursuits in the Balladoran district.
The body was brought in from "Baroona" on Sunday and was placed in the Presbyterian Church, after the service on Sunday night. The funeral took place, after a service at the church, to the Presbyterian cemetery yesterday morning, and was very largely attended. The Rev. A. MR. CHARLES UPHILL.
Mr. Charles Uphill, one of the last of the pioneer settlers who took up land in the district over 50 years ago, died on Friday at his residence, 19 Talbot Avenue, St. Kilda. Deceased was 91 years of age. Mr. Uphill, who was born in England and came to Australia when a young man, acquired land in the Pine Hills district and in course of time added to his original holding until over 6000 acres were embraced in the property known as "Pine Hills." He lived there with his family, and became a successful wheat farmer and grazier, and his property was regarded as one of the best improved holdings in the district. He retired to live in Melbourne many years ago, and his son, the late Mr. A. T. Uphill, managed "Pine Hills" until his death several years ago. Some time later the property was sold. Possessing a wonderful constitution, Mr. Charles Uphill was a very active man in spite of increasing years, and he was able to drive a car and attend to business matters up till a comparatively short time before his death. He is survived by his widow and five children — Lucy (Mrs. J. D. Robert son, Corowa), Walter (Coonabarabran), Herbert (Forbes), Annie (Mrs. Maclnnes, Dubbo), Minnie (Mrs. W. G. Mackintosh, St. Kilda). The remains were taken to Deniliquin for interment in the family vault, at the cemetery in that town.;Principal=Charles Uphill5

OBITUARY
MRS. M. A. MACINNES     
Members of the Country Women's Association formed a guard of honor at a memorial funeral service at the Central Methodist Church, Dubbo, for Mrs. Margaret Annie MacInnes, who died last week after a long illness.
The late Mrs. Maclnnes, who lived at "Baroona," Balladoran, was a prominent figure in the CWA for many years.
Born at Deniliquin, she was the daughter of the late Mr. Charles, Uphill, a pioneer grazier of that district.
She was married at Melbourne to Mr. Percy Morton MacInnes, who died 30 years ago. She had conducted the property after his death.
She is survived by two daughters, Margaret (Mrs. W. Semmler, of Gilgandra) and Alice (Mrs. L. Abbott, of Wollongong), and two sons, Ronald, of Balladoran and Morton, of Balladoran.7
