At St. John's Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, the wedding was celebrated of Miss Loie Foster, daughter of Mr and Mrs T. Foster, March-st., to Mr. Michael Cunningham, son of Mr and Mrs Wm. Cunningham, of Condobolin (reports the Orange "Advocate.") The bride entered the church on the arm of her father, looking charming in a frock of white satin charmeuse and georgette, with bugle trimmings and orange blossoms, and wearing a veil, a wedding present from Mrs Martin Toohey, of Forbes, and carrying a sheath of lilies and frezias. Miss Hazel Foster, sister of the bride, looked sweet in henna georgette, with touches of gold tissue and hand-made flowers, and black picture hat with flowers to tone and streamers of gold. The bouquet was of yellow daffodils and autumn leaves, with streamers of henna tulle. Both bouquets were the gifts of the bridegroom. The bridegroom's gift to the bridesmaid was a set of silver brushes and mirror. Mr Os. Foley acted as best man. Mrs T. Foster, mother of the bride, received the guests at her home in March-st., in a navy tailored costume and black hat, and carried a bouquet of hyacinths and violets, the bouquet being made by Mrs A. Blackshaw, of Bathurst. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. R. G. Cruikshank, of Forbes, who also presided at the reception. The happy couple, who were the recipients of many valuable presents, including numerous cheques, left by the Forbes mail for the Mountains, and thence to Sydney, where the honeymoon is to be spent. Their future home will be in Forbes. The bride's travelling dress was a navy tailored costume and lemon and navy hat. The bridegroom is connected with the railway department, at Forbes. The bride was for the past twelve months in charge of the millinery department at Mr J. T. Hughes' establishment, Forbes. Both are well known and well-liked locally.;Bride=Loie Agnes Foster3 |
