Obituary | 15 June 1923 | "The Albury Banner and Wodonga Express", Albury, NSW, Australia; OBITUARY. A very old resident of Wodonga, in the person of Mr. John Bassett, died at his late residence, Box Hill, last week, aged 72 years. For a great many years deceased was in business at Wodonga, but, prior to his departure from that district, he occupied his time as an orchardist. Of late years he resided in Melbourne. Deceased, during his residence in Wodonga, took an active interest in public affairs, and was, for a number of years, a member of the Wodonga Shire Council. During one term he occupied the presidential chair.11 |
