OBITUARY
Mrs. A. E. Carter
Mrs. Amelia Emily Carter, relict of the late James Gale Carter, died at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. W. L. Ward, Desborough Road, St. Marys, on Thursday, September 10, at the age of 81 years.
Mrs. Carter was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary Ann Skeen, of Penrith. Her husband died at the age of 81 years, when they were living at Park Avenue, Kingswood.
Mrs. Carter leaves three daughters and two sons— Thelma (Mrs. Ward, St. Marys), Ethel (Mrs. Delaney, Kandos), Gladys (Mrs. Innes, Llthgow), William (Marrickville) and Stan (Balmain). There are a number of grandchildren.
Sisters and brothers of Mrs. Carter are: Mrs. Carry Rollan (Kings Cross), Mrs. Harriet Sutton (Penrith), Mrs. Alice Thompson (Penrith), Charles (Enfleld), William (Bulli), Ernest (Port Kembla).
The funeral, on Saturday, left the residence of Mrs. Ward for St. Marys general cemetery, C. of E. portion. The service was conducted by the Rev. A. E. Hodgson, of Penrith.4
