DEATH OF MRS G. SHADLOW
Mrs Rachael Shadlow, of St. Marys, died in hospital at Parramatta, on Saturday. Deceased, who was the widow of the late Mr, George Shadlow, was a member of the Lee family, being a descendant of John Lee, the founder of Methodism at Castlereagh. She was a devout Methodist and was of estimable character.
Deceased was the second wife of the late George Shadlow, and was married to him in 1884. His first wife was a daughter of Samuel Marsden, of Mamre. Mr Shadlow died on 15th June, 1920, at the age of 89 years.
She leaves a family of two daughters and three sons, viz., George (Katoomba), Norman (St. Marys), Cecil (Windsor), Mrs. C. V. Gibson (St. Marys), and Mrs S. Hopes (Clarencetown).
The funeral took place on Sunday afternoon, when the remains were laid to rest in the Methodist portion of St. Marys General Cemetery, Rev. D. C. Hughes conducted the service.4
