Marriage* | 29 August 1916 | St John's, Forbes, NSW, Australia; RAWSTHORNE—JOLIFF. At St. John's Church of England, Forbes, on Wednesday afternoon, the wedding took place of Mr James Rawsthorne, of Bandon, and Miss Mary Joliff, daughter of Mr and Mrs J. Joliff, of "The Angle," Goolagong. The bride wore white pailette silk, shadow lace, wreath and veil, and wore a gold brooch, the gift of the bridegroom. The bridegroom's present to the bride was a pair of gold sleeve links. The bridesmaids were Miss Clarice Rawsthorne and Miss Joliff, who wore white silk costumes, nicely trimmed with lace. The bridegroom's presents to the bridesmaids were gold brooches. Mr Herbert Ruge was the best man, and Mr Rawsthorne groomsman. After the ceremony the guests adjourned to the town hall, where the wedding breakfast was served, the catering being excellently carried out by Mr and Mrs J. M'Leod. The toasts suitable to the occasion were honored, Mr and Mrs Rawsthorne left Forbes by the afternoon train for Orange, where they intend spending their honeymoon, the bride's travelling dress being a coat and skirt, hat to match.
