LATE MRS SARAH DAVIDSON.
On Saturday last Mrs Sarah ("Granny") Davidson passed away at her home at the age of 76 years. "Granny," as she was familiarly known, was a familiar figure in our community, and was held in the highest esteem. She was a native of Hartley Vale (New South Wales) and migrated to Victoria, where she resided for 14 years and then came to this State 35 years ago. She resided at Collie and Gwalia for many years where she followed her profession as a nurse, coming to Merredin thirteen years ago. She leaves one son and five daughters to mourn their loss.
The funeral took place on Monday afternoon. After a very impressive service conducted in the Methodist Church by the Rev. S. H. Saggers, the cortege proceeded to the Methodist cemetery, where the remains were interred in the presence of a number of relatives and friends, the last sad rites being administered by the Rev. S. Saggers
The chief mourners were Walter Henrv (son), Sarah (daughter), Mrs Ewan Currie, Leonora (daughter).
The pallbearers were Messrs C. N. Spargo, R. Phillips, W. Spargo and W Brown.
Wreaths were sent by the following: The Children; Ernest and Camie; Mr and Mrs W. G. Jahn; Mr and Mrs H. Levett arid family; Mrs Samuel Bray and family; Evelyn Cordin; |Mr and Mrs H. L. Spargo, and family; Mr and Mrs J. Adams and family; Mr and Mrs C. N. Spargo; Mrs F. C. Jones and family; Methodist Ladies; Mr. and Mrs W. Sinclair and familv; Mrs Palmer.
The funeral arrangements were carried out by L. A. Miller, funeral director, Merredin.6
