From James Harmer, giving notice of his intention to apply at next licensing meeting at Casterton, for a colonial wine license, for his house at the Chetwynd township.13 
Will*14 September 1875 Crystal Brook, SA, Australia;This is the Last Will and Testament of me James Harmer of Crystal Brook in the Province of South Australia Butcher. I desire that my just debts and funeral and testamentary expenses may be paid and satisfied as soon as conveniently may be after my decease. I give devise and bequeath unto my dear Wife Ann the whole of my property both real and personal and whether in possession reversion remainder or expectancy for her absolute use and benefit.
And I desire that my said wife will maintain and educate my Children until they come of age. And also that as each Child attains the age of twenty one years She will pay to him or her one fourth part of the Estate then in her possession reserving the remaining fourth part to herself. And I appoint my said wife sole Executrix of this my Will. And I revoke all former Wills. In witness whereof I the said Testator have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand this fourteenth day of September one thousand eight hundred and seventy five.

Be it known that on the thirtieth day of October one thousand eight hundred and seventy five the said last Will and Testament Copy whereof is hereunto written Annexed of James Harmer late of Crystal Brook in the Province of South Australia Butcher deceased who died on the fifteenth day of September one thousand eight hundred and seventy five at Crystal Brook in the said province was proved and registered in the said Court. And that Administration of all and singular the personal estate and effects of the said deceased was granted by the aforesaid Court to Ann Harmer the widow of the deceased and sole Executrix named in the said Will she having first sworn well and faithfully to Administer the same by paying the just debts of the said deceased and the legacies contained in his Will and to exhibit a true and perfect Inventory of his all and singular the said Estate and effects and to render a just and true account thereof whenever required by the law so to do
