Death*25 August 1950 Forbes District Hospital, Forbes, NSW, Australia;
Mr. Henry S. Field
The death took place on Friday morning in Forbes District Hospital, where he had been an inmate for a week, of Mr. Henry Scott Field, of Bedgerabong.
The deceased, who was born at Carrawobitty, was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Josiah Field, who in the early days had a large property adjacent to Carrawobitty. He was in his 82nd year, and had lives in the district practically all his life. Some 25 years ago he married a widow, Mrs. Crotty, and has lived at Bedgerabong ever since. Mrs. Field survives, as also does one brother, Mr. Orton Field, of Bedgerabong, the only remaining member of a family of ten children.
The body was taken through flood waters to Bedgerabong, but despite the handicap of bad roads a large concourse of friends attended the funeral, which took place on Saturday afternoon to the Church of England portion of the cemetery there. Rev. A. E. White, Forbes, officiated at the graveside.
Mr. A. G. Jones directed the funeral arrangements.4
