ATKINSON-DARLEY.
A very pretty wedding was celebrated on Wednesday, 5th February, at the Methodist Church, Parkes, by the Rev. G. Watkin Furner, the contracting parties being Mr. A. H. Atkinson, of Trundle, fourth son of Mr. and Mrs. F. Atkinson, and Miss M. Darley, of Parkes, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. W. Darley. As the bride entered the church on the arm of her cousin, Mr. R. T. Job, of "The Pines," who gave her away, "The Voice that breathed o'er Eden," was played by Miss Furner, and sung by the choir. The bride was attended by her cousin, Miss A. V. Pender, as bridesmaid, who was dressed in pale pink voile, with touches of hand embroidery, and hat to match. She also carried a bouquet of lovely white flowers and maiden-hair fern. Mr. W. J. Darley, brother of the bride acted as best man. The bride was prettily attired, in ivory crepe de chene, trim med with embroidery and ninon. She also wore the customary veil, and mob cap, and carried a bouquet of beautiful white flowers, and maiden-hair fern, with tulle streamers. After the ceremony the bridal party adjourned to the residence of Mrs. J. A. Pender, where refreshments were partaken of. The bridegroom's gift to the bride was a ruby and pearl necklet, and to the bridesmaid, a gold brooch set with garnet and pearls, and the bride's gift to the bridegroom a silver shaving mug and brush. Later the happy couple left for Orange where the honeymoon was spent. The bride travelled in a navy crepe de chene, embroidered with blue and biscuit and relieved with touches of pale pink ninon, with hat to match.
