SENSATION AT TRUNDLE
THE SHOOTING OF ARTHUR BEUZEVILLE.
During Insanity Through Illness.
Trundle folk received a shock on Wednesday last when it was learned that Mr Arthur Beuzeville had shot himself early that morning, and that there were no hopes of his recovery. The unfortunate man who had put a weapon to his throat and discharged it, lingered till the afternoon, when he passed away.
The deceased was 24 years of age and had been a resident of Trundle practically all his life. For some considerable time he had been in a very serious state of health, and it is thought that this preyed on his mind and in a fit of despondency caused him to carry out the rash act which ended his life. The Coroner (Mr T. P. Quade) held an inquiry late in the afternoon, when he returned a verdict that death was due to hemorrhage, brought about by the effects of a bullet wound self inflicted whilst temporarily insane.
The funeral took place yesterday and was largely attended, the remains being interred in the Church of England portion of the cemetery.
