Obituary3 June 1965 Coonamble, NSW, Australia;Death of Walter Bassett. The sudden death occurred in Cooonamble last Friday night of Mr Walter Bassett. Deceased was a native of Coonamble following the pastoral industry as a worker and later as a shearing contractor. He retired about 2 years ago owing to ill health and has lived in retirement at Maule St. His wife Maude Vera predeceased him. He his survived by 2 sons Peter (Caringbah), Bruce (Miranda) and 2 daughters Nolene Brydon (Coonamble) and Mrs Ella Mansfield (Coonamble). Also 2 sisters Mrs Harper (sydney) and Mrs Solomon (Sydney) and 3 brothers Les (Sydney), Hedley (Coonamble) and Harold (Coonamble). The funeral service was held last Sunday afternoon after prayers in the Church of England Church and the remains were laid to rest in the Church of England portion of the Coonamble Cemetery.7
