OBITUARY
MRS. ELLEN TUCKEY.
Mrs. Ellen Tuckey, of Halfway Creek, who died on Monday at a Grafton private hospital after a short illness, as already briefly reported, was one of the pioneers of the Clarence.
Deceased was born in Adelaide 82 years ago and first married Mr. Robert Crew, of Wagga. Her first husband died about 12 months after the marriage, leaving one daughter, now Mrs. F. Thompson, of Grafton.
About 50 years ago deceased married the late Arthur Thomas Tuckey, of Wagga, and they came to live at Halfway Creek. where Mrs. Tuckey lived until her death. Her second husband died 22 years ago. Four children of this family survive, viz., Mrs. A. Brewer (Rappville), Mrs. McKee (Smith's Creek), Percy (Woolgoolga) and Alfred (Halfway Creek). There are 15 grand children and two great-grandchildren.6
