NEWELL-THOMAS.
On Wednesday, the 7th ult., the marriage of Harriet Ann,. the second daughter of Cr. W. H. and Mrs. Thomas, of "Cora Lynn," Blackheath, and Herbert Bruce, the sixth son of Mr. and Mrs. Thos. Newell, "Mt. Pleasant," Minyip, was quietly celebrated at the residence of the bride's parents.
The ceremony was performed by the Rev. A. Sussex, the circuit minister.
The bride was simply gowned in white silk, trimmed with silk insertion, and sash, finished with bead tassels, and wore, a tulle veil and wreath of orange blossom; also a gold watch and chain, the gift of the bridegroom. Miss Florrie Thomas, the bride's sister, acted as bridesmaid. She was gowned in a simple frock of white silk, and wore the bridegroom's gift, a gold bamboo bangle. The bride's gift to bridegroom was a black and gold watch guard. Mr. Arthur Newell, brother of bridegroom, was best man. The happy couple left by express for Melbourne, where the honeymoon is being spent. The bride travelled in a navy blue costume, relieved with tartan;Groom=Herbert Bruce Newell1
