WEDDING
Reedy - Jones
A becoming gown of ivory georgette and lace was worn by Miss Mary Belinda Jones for her marriage at St. Laurence's Church, Forbes, on Wednesday, to Mr. Harold George Reedy. The beautiful veil, which was held in position with a coronet of orange blossom, was lent by her aunt, Mrs. E. Thompson, and fell in billowy folds to the ground. Shasta daisies and gladioli fashioned with a trail of fern and streamers of white ribbon, completed a charming toilette.
The bride, who is the second daughter of the late Mr. H. J.Jones, and of Mrs. G. S. Watson, of "Tomanbil," Forbes, was escorted to the altar by her step-father, Mr. G. S. Watson. She was attended by two bridesmaids, Misses Stella Rawsthorne (cousin) and Marie Jones (sister). The former was daintily attired in mauve georgette and lace, and the latter wore pink georgette and lace. They both carried posies of pastel-tinted flowers.
The bride's little sister, Aileen, and cousins, Una Pluis and Lorna Langford, acted as train-bearers and cushion bearer, respectively. They were attractively frocked in pink, blue and green georgette.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dan. Reedy, of Warroo, and was assisted by Mr. T. Simmonds (brother-in-law). Rev.Fr. Brady performed the ceremony, which was followed by a reception at which only relatives and intimate friends were entertained.
The bridegroom's gift to the bride was a beautiful handbag; to each of the bridesmaids a xylonite brush and comb.
Following a honeymoon tour of Jenolan Caves and the South Coast, Mr. and Mrs. Reedy will make their home at Bogan Gate.;Bride=Mary Belinda Jones1,2
