OBITUARY.
MR. WILLIAM E. PLUNKETT.
Mr. William E. Plunkett, a soldier of the Great War, died at his residence, Orana Street, on Saturday. He was 48 years of age. He enlisted at an early age and was present at the landing at Gallipoli. Mr. Plunkett was a railway employee, both at Bathurst, Orange and Hornsby, but for the past three years had lived at Orange. He leaves a widow and family of four, they being George, A.I.F. (prisoner of war), Mrs. Barnes Cooma), Betty and William (Orange). Two step-brothers, Walter (Botany) and Edward (Wentworthville), and one sister, Mrs. Dunne (Hornsby) also survive. His funeral left McGrath's parlors yesterday, interment being made in the Church of England portion of the Orange cemetery. The funeral was attended by a number of returned soldiers.4
