MR. JOHN GAWIN PEACOCK
The death occurred at his residence, Newtown West, on Sunday last of Mr. John Gawin Peacock, a well known and highly respected resident of Narandera, at the age of 66 years.
Mr. Peacock was a native of Colmier, where his father carried on grazing pursuits. He came to Narandera about 11 years ago, members of his family already having settled here, and remained here until the time of his death. He was keenly interested in local cricket, and seldom missed one of the matches that were played during the season.
He is survived by his widow and a family of five sons, all resident in Narandera. The names of the sons are: Cecil S., Wallace M., William P., Harold R., and Ernest B. The last mentioned is ill in hospital with an attack of pneumonia, which also caused the death of Mr. Peacock,
The funeral took place yesterday afternoon, when the remains were interred in the Church of England portion of the Narandera cemetery.
Mr. F. Lindley had charge of the funeral arrangements.5
