Death of Father | 12 June 1923 | Yerong Creek, NSW, Australia; Mr. William Newell died at Yerong Creek, N.S.W., on the 12th June. The deceased was one of those sturdy and plucky pioneers who took a hand in blazing the track for the agriculturists of the present day, and in the early days carried on farming at Dunmunkle. He left the Wimmera about 30 years ago, and ever since has resided in New South Wales. The deceased, who was just on 81 years of age and very highly esteemed, was the eldest brother of Messrs. T. and R. J. Newell, of Minyip ; Mrs. Milgate, sen., Dunmunkle, and Mrs. Thomson, Gawler, S.A. A widow and grown-up family of two sons and two daughters survive. ;Principal=John William Newell2 |
