Medcalf—Robertson.
A pretty wedding took place at the Presbyterian Church, Trundle, between Edward Ernest, son of Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Medcalf, of Gillenbine Station, Trundle, and Margaret Elizabeth, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Robertson, of Mayfield, Dandaloo. The Rev. R. H. W. Bagot officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a charming gown of white crepe de chene over satin charmeuse, tunic effect, trimmed with honiton lace and pearl trimmings, a wreath with an exquisite white veil, and she carried a magnificent bouquet of white roses, daisies, and lilies of the valley. The bridesmaids were Miss L. Robertson (sister, and chief bridesmaid), wore white embroidered muslin over white satin, hat to match; Miss M. Robertson (sister), frocked in embroidered muslin over satin, silk trimmings, and wore white silk hat trimmed with forget-me-nots and ruchings of lace; and Miss A. Medcalf (sister of the bridegroom) wore white ninon over book muslin, white satin and silk lace trimmings, tunic skirt, and white hat to match. Mr. W, Medcalf acted as best man. The bride's gift to the bridegroom was a silver card case, and the bridegroom presented the bride with a diamond ring, and also a gold bangle to each of the bridesmaids. At the conclusion of the ceremony the wedding breakfast was served at the Trundle Hotel. Host Croft must be complimented on the excellence of the repast provided. The usual toasts followed. The presents were numerous and costly, including a great number of cheques. The happy couple left by motor car for their honeymoon. The bride travelled in dove grey cloth coat and skirt, saxe blue velvet hat and plumes.
