OBITUARY.
R. T. LEES.
Mr Richard Thomas Lees, familiarly known as " Tom," succumbed on Sunday evening last, after some 8 or 9 months of suffering, to a malignant internal growth at the residence of Mr A. Turner, Condobolin, with whom he was connected by marriage. From a robust man of about 13 or 14 stone, the late Mr Lees had become reduced to about half that weight when death put an end to his sufferings. Though latterly residing at Bogan Gate, the deceased was a native of Bandon, Forbes, formerly conducted an hotel in Condobolin, and was well-known throughout the whole of this district. He was a noted tank sinker, and the large tank at Carlachy Siding and numerous others, big and little within an area of scores of miles in this part of the country, are jobs he carried out. Mr Lees was 46 years of age, and leaves a wife and young family of 5, for whom the keenest sympathy will be felt. The remains were conveyed to Bogan Gate for interment yesterday.;Principal=Richard Thomas Lees2

BOGAN GATE, Wednesday.
On Friday one of the best known men in the Bogan Gate district, Mr. Henry Gorman Lees, aged 47 years, died suddenly. Going about his usual occupations on Friday morning he complained of feeling unwell. Later he became seriously ill, and died in a few hours.
The late Mr. Lees lived in the Bogan Gate district practically all his life. He was a member of nearly all the public bodies in that centre, and played a prominent part in the affairs of the P. and A. Association, Jockey Club, and Progress Association particularly.
He was very widely known as an owner-trainer of trotting horses, and consistently entered ring events at the Royal Agricultural Society's show in Sydney.
The funeral took place on Saturday afternoon to the Church of England portion of the Bogan Gate cemetery, the Rev. S. Harris of Trundle officiating. A Masonic service was read by Bro. Sykes of the Trundle Lodge, of which the deceased was a member.
Members of the local branch of the Manchester Unity lodge acted as pall-bearers.
The widow and five children mourn their loss. Four sisters of the deceased motored from Sydney to attend the funeral.4
