LEADBITTER — CRAMPTON
A very pretty wedding was celebrated at St Barnabas' Church, West Wyalong, on Wednesday 14th by Ven. Archdeacon Neild. The contracting parties being—George Frederick, second son of Mr James Leadbitter, and Minnie Florence, second daughter of Mr A. C.
Crampton, both of West Wyalong.
Mr W. Leadbitter, brother of bridegroom, acted as best man. The bride who was given away by her father, wore a handsome gown of cream chiffon taffeta, richly trimmed with cream silk insertion and chiffon, she wore the customary wreath and veil, and carried a shower boquet of white lillies and asparagus ferns; she also wore a gold pendant and chain, gift of the bridegroom.
Miss Crampton sister of the bride wore a pale blue crystaline, trimmed with cream silk insertion, and hat to match, she also wore a gold brooch gift of the bridegroom.
After the ceremony, the bridal party and guests adjourned to the residence of the bride's parents, where a sumptuous wedding breakfast awaited them. After ample justice had been done to the good things provided, the Ven. Archdeacon Neild proposed the toast of the bride and bridegroom, which was responded to by Mr G. Leadbitter, who proposed the toast of the bridesmaid, which was responded to by the best man.
Mr Kelly, M.P, spoke highly of the bride's parents, whom he had known for a number of years, responded to by Messrs H. R. Helyar J. and H. Leadbitter.
The happy couple accompanied by relatives and friends, left by the midday train amid showers of confetti and rice, en route for Sydney where the honeymoon will be spent.
