Wedding in Sydney
Mr. Stanley Charles Kelly, of Bookham, married Miss Edna Ivy Bassett, of Oatley, at St Canice's Church, Elizabeth Bay, Sydney, on January 21.
The bridegroom is a son of Mr and Mrs. Gus Kelly, of Bookham, and the bride the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. Bassett, of Oatley.
A cream organdie gown, with matching juliet cap and two tiered tulle veil was worn by the bride, and her bouquet was of frangipanni, carnations and catyllea orchids.
The bride was attended by one bridesmaid, Miss Wilma Smith, of Yass, who chose a pink frock with organdie bodice and two tiered tulle shirt. She wore a matching picture hat of organdie, and carried a bouquet of frangipanni, carnations and hydrangeas.
The bride was given away by by her brother, Mr. Bruce Bassett, and the groom's brother, Kevin, was bestman.
The reception dinner was held at Chequer's Night Club. Afterwards Mr. and Mrs. Kelly left by the Manoora for Melbourne. Their future home will be at Yass.
