Maxwell Claude Jones was born at Birchip, Victoria, on May 28, 1908, and together with his family moved to Condobolin, New South Wales, just three years later where he resided for sixty-six years. In 1936 Max married Irene Baxter, and this happy union was blessed with two sons, Len and Don. The Max Jones family were among the first to become Adventists some thirty-four years ago. Father and sons have been very successful farmers and graziers in the Condobolin district, and Max, who quietly passed to his rest in the local hospital on August 18, 1977, was held in very high esteem, as was evidenced by the large gathering in the Presbyterian church and later at the graveside in the Condobolin Cemetery.
