Note* Thomas is most likely the son of Robert Harmer and Elizabeth Bacon who married in Baconsthrope in 1732. The first recorded Harmer baptisms in Thornage are to Robert and Elizabeth, but there is a gap in the registers for the period 1732 to 1736 and the first baptism, for Robert jnr, occurs in 1838.
