(Witness) Will14 September 1875 Crystal Brook, SA, Australia;This is the Last Will and Testament of me James Harmer of Crystal Brook in the Province of South Australia Butcher. I desire that my just debts and funeral and testamentary expenses may be paid and satisfied as soon as conveniently may be after my decease. I give devise and bequeath unto my dear Wife Ann the whole of my property both real and personal and whether in possession reversion remainder or expectancy for her absolute use and benefit.
And I desire that my said wife will maintain and educate my Children until they come of age. And also that as each Child attains the age of twenty one years She will pay to him or her one fourth part of the Estate then in her possession reserving the remaining fourth part to herself. And I appoint my said wife sole Executrix of this my Will. And I revoke all former Wills. In witness whereof I the said Testator have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand this fourteenth day of September one thousand eight hundred and seventy five.

Robert George Harmer,aged 61, a butcher, of Clare, was found yesterday afternoon at his slaughter-yard with a bullet wound through his head, and a rifle lying on his body. He died at 3 o'clock this morning. He was an old and highly respected townsman, and has left a widow and grown-up family. An inquest will be held this afternoon.14
