Death*28 December 1915 Kelso, NSW, Australia;
Mr. George Field, of Kelso, died at an early hour yesterday morning, at the advanced age of 80 years. The deceased had lived at Kelso for a period of 39 years, and had followed the occupation of carrier, being highly esteemed by a large circle of friends and relatives. Born at Richmond, near Windsor, he had known the many hardships to contend with in the early days when horse traffic was the only means of communication from Sydney to the great Western interior. Mr. W. Field, baker, of Bathurst South, is the only son; and Mrs. J. Rowley and Mrs. G. H. Rivett, of Bathurst, are the surviving daughters. The funeral will leave his late residence, Kelso, at 3 o'clock, this Wednesday afternoon, for the Kelso cemetery.4
