On Friday morning, Mr. Edward Field passed away in Forbes District Hospital at the age of 84 years. Deceased had been ailing for some time and the cause of death was senile decay. The late Mr. Field was a native of Hartley Vale and came to Forbes over 60 years ago. He was engaged in the carrying business in the early days. He subsequently went to reside at Carrawobbity and lived there for very many years. His wife pre-deceased him about 11 years ago, and also two daughters—the late Mrs. Bob Judd and the late Miss Cecilia Field. He is survived by a family of two sons and three daughters, all of whom are residents of this district, viz., Messrs Thomas and Phillip Field and Mesdames Bert Day, H. Little and Jack Barter.5
