A quiet but pretty wedding was solemnised by the Rev. A. J. Bingley in the Methodist Church, Crookwell, on September 6, when Jessie, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs E. Dorph-Petersen, of Pickering Brook, West Australia, was joined in holy wedlock to Thomas, third son of Mr and Mrs Thomas Wong, of Crookwell.
The bride, wearing a pretty frock of powder-blue wool sheer, brown accessories, to which she added a beautiful string of pearls and a shoulder spray of orchids (which were the gifts of the bridegroom, entered the church on the arm of her brother, Mr Noel Dorph-Petersen, of Sydney, who subsequently gave her away.
The bride was attended by her sister, Noreen, who wore a frock of brown all-wool crepe with brown accessories. She also wore a charming pendant which, with a shoulder spray of Hyacinth, was the gift of the bridegroom.
Mr Lloyd Johnson acted as best man.
After the signing of the register the wedding party adjourned to the home of Mr and Mrs P. J. Johnson, where light refreshments were partaken of. A very nice wedding cake adorned the table and the usual toasts were honoured.
