Michael's and John's Cathedral, Bathurst, on August 16, Miss Amy Dennis, eldest daughter of the late Mr. F. Dennis, of Shooter's Hill, chose a charming gown of magnolia satin, cut on classical lines. Her embroidered veil was mounted on cut tulle, which fell in soft folds to form a train, and she carried an armlet of sweet peas, hyacinths and carnations. The bride was escorted to the altar by her uncle, Mr. James Moloney, of Bathurst, and the Rev. Dr. Gummer, of Oberon, officiated at the ceremony. BRIDESMAID WEARS PINK A dainty frock of pink blister crepe was favored by the bridesmaid, Miss Mary Conlon. She added a smart beret of moss green velvet, and carried an armlet of early spring blooms. Mr. Ray Rawsthorne acted as best man. After the ceremony a reception was held at the "Red Rose" Cafe, when Mrs. H. Conlon, aunt of the bride, received only immediate relatives of the two families. The bride travelled in a navy blue costume, with hat and accessories to tone. After the honeymoon which is being spent in Sydney and the South Coast, Mr. and Mrs. Rawsthorne will make their home in Forbes. ;Groom=Grant Rawsthorne1 |
