WEDDING.
Medcalf—Cooney
A VERY pretty wedding was celebrated at St. Patrick's Church, Wellington, on Wednesday morning, when Elizabeth Alice (Betty) Cooney, second daughter of Mr and Mrs W. M. Cooney, of "Cromer," Goolma, was married to Thomas Arthur Medcalf, second son of Mr and Mrs Charles Medcalf, of "Gillinbine," Trundle, and Waverley, at a Nuptial Mass, which was celebrated by Rev. Father J. P. Kelly.
There was a large gathering of friends and relatives at the ceremony.
The bride, who was given away by her father, chose a pretty bridal gown of white satin on classical lines, with lace panel down the back and a lace train. She wore the usual veil and a pearl coronet, and carried a bridal bouquet of white arum lilies.
The bride was attended by her two sisters, Misses Aileen and Carmel Cooney, who wore pretty frocks of pink and blue metalasse, with small hats to match. They carried bouquets of carnations and blue forget-me-nots.
The duties of best man were carried out by Mr L. W. Cooney, brother of the bride. Mr J. M. Ryan, also of Goolma, was groomsman.
