News-Arct* | 10 January 1950 | "The Tumut and Adelong Times", Tumut, NSW, Australia; The death occurred at Bowral last week of yet another old Nangus pioneer in the person of Mrs. Pollack, relict of the late David Pollack, who pre-deceased her about four years ago. The late Mrs. Pollack, who was 84 years of age, was a member of the Clemson family, who were also well-known early settlers at the village, and, naturally, both families had long and lasting friendships in the Gundagai district. Since leaving Nangus Mrs. Pollack had resided in turn with her relatives respectively at Wagga and Bowral. Her mortal remains were taken to Gundagai by train and laid to rest alongside those of her late husband in the Nangus cemetery.5 |
