News-Arct* | 20 October 1933 | "The Western Champion", Parkes, NSW, Australia; BEUZEVILLE-EVANS. The marriage was celebrated at St. George's Church, Parkes, on Thursday, of last week, of Dorothy May, only daughter of the late Mr. W. J. Evans, and Mrs. Evans, of Trundle, and Dudley Norman, fourth son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Beuzeville, of Trundle. The Rev. A. E. Weston officiated. There was a large attendance at the church, the bride being a well known resident of Parkes for many years. The bride was frocked in ivory satin and carried a bouquet of arum lilies. The bridesmaid was Miss Ruth Beuzeville, who chose pink crepe de chine. Mr Jim Beuzeville was best man. The wedding, breakfast was held at the home of the groom's parents, in Trundle some forty people, being present. Mr. J. Flanagan occupied the chair, and the usual toasts were honored. Mrs. Beuzeville received the guests. Her dress was navy morocain, while the bride's mother wore floral crepe de chine. The occasion was also Mr. Fred Beuzeville's birthday, and to add amusement to the function a dummy cake was fashioned out of concrete with plaster of Paris and decorated so that it appeared like an ordinary birthday cake. Mr. Sid Fell was called upon to cut the cake, but a knife proved of no avail, and finally a tomahawk was secured to do the trick. The young couple, who will reside in Trundle, received a large number of presents. ;Principal=Dorothy May Evans2 |
