Probate | 15 May 1787 | St Enoder, Cornwall;This is the last Will and Testament of me John Bassett the younger of the Parish of Cornwall in the County of Cornwall Getntleman, Frist I give to my Apprentice William Williams Two Pounds and two Shillings to be paid him at the Expiration of his Apprenticeship if he shall lso long live. Also I give unto Thomas Bassett of Burthy Row in the said Parish of St Enoder the Sum of Five Pounds and Five Shillings a year to paid to him by Quarterly Payments by my Executor hereafter named during thed Term of Seven Years if the daughter of Alice Sweet of St Enoder aforesaid wife of William Sweet shall so long live In Trust for and for the use of the Daughter of the said Alice Sweet and to be ? ? by the said Thomas Bassett applied towards her Maintenance and Education as he in his discretion shall think fit. Anf from and after the Expiration of the said Term of Seven Years then I give unto the said Thomas Bassett the Sum of four Pounds a year to be paid him as aforesaid until the said Daughter of the said Alice Sweet shall attain the age of sixteen years if she shall so long live In Trust nevertheless and to ? for the use of the Daughter of the said Alice Sweet and to be by the said Thomas Bassett applied towards her maintenance and education as he shall think fit. Also I give and bequeath unto my daughter Philippa Bassett The Sum of Five Hundred Pounds to be paid her at the end of one year after my Decease by my Eldest Son William Bassett and I do hereby Order and direct that my said Son William Bassett shall unto Grace Thomas Widow my Tenant on the Barton of Pencorse in the said Parish of St Enoder the Sum of Two hundred Pounds in which I stand indebited to her together with the interest due thereon and if my said Son William shall and do pay to my said daughter Phillippa Bassett the said Sum of Five hundred Pounds within one year after my Decease and to the said Grace Thomas the Sum of Two hundred Pounds with the Interest due and to grow due thereon then and in such Case and not otherwise I give and devise unto Richard Hicks of the Parish of Saint Columb major in the said County of Cornwall Gentleman and James Drew of the Parish of probus in the said County Gentleman and ......5 |
