(Beneficiary) Probate | 10 May 1790 | St Ewe, Cornwall;In the Name of God Amen I Thomas Bassett of the parish of St Ewe in the County of Cornwall Yeoman being through the abundant mercy and goodness of God weak in body yet of a sound and perfect understanding * and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following. Imprimis, I give and bequeath my Soul to Almighty God beseeching his most gracious acceptance of it and my body to the Earth from whence it was taken, in Decent burial, in hopes of its Resurrection at the last Day. Item, I give and bequeath unto my wife Rose Bassett all my Estate Right and Property at Punare Tresillian in the Parish of Merther in the County of Cornwall, with all the Household Furniture, during her life. I Will that my Wife shall pay to Parish of St Ewe four Pounds per year until the money due to the parishioners, which is in all sixteen pounds be fully paid. Item, My Son Francis Bassett, shall have and enjoy my Estate abovesaid, after the decease of my Wife, by paying, out of it to my Son Emanuel, Twenty shillings per year and Item, To my Daughter Elizabeth Bassett ten shillings per year Item, To my Daughter Mary Bassett twenty shillings per year Item, To my Daughter Lucy Bassett Twenty shillings per year Item, To my Daughter Rose Bassett Twenty shillings per year If any or either of my Children should happen to die during the Lives on the Estate before mentioned, then it shall be divided equally amongst the rest, And its my Will, not for it to be sold During the Lives now thereon.
