WEDDING BELLS.
SIMMONDS—GLOVER.
On Wednesday, 5th inst., a quiet wedding was celebrated at "Rosebank," Bindogundra, when Mr. Thomas H. Simmonds, of Trundle, was married to Miss Margaret Eliza Glover, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Glover, of "Rosebank."
The ceremony was performed by the Rev. W. Finlay Brown, in the drawing room, which had been tastefully decorated by friends of the family.
The bride who was given away by her father, was attended by her two sisters as bridesmaids and was charmingly attired in a gown of lace over white ivory silk, with square court train; she wore a wreath and veil, and carried a shower bouquet of ferns and tuberoses, gifts of the bridegroom.
Miss Mary Glover, chief bridesmaid, wore a ninon frock over silk, trimmed with guipure lace, and a gold pendant, set with emeralds and pearls, the bridegroom's gift. Miss Jean Glover's dress was of crepe-de merle, with valenciennes lace and satin ribbons. She also wore a gold amethyst brooch, the gift of the bridegroom. Both bridesmaids carried shepherds crooks. Mr. Jack Simmonds was best man, and Mr. J. Ewin groomsman.
After the ceremony, the immediate friends of the family adjourned to the spacious dining room, where a sumptuous repast was partaken of. During the afternoon, the happy couple left by motor for the Cookamidgera railway station, from whence they left by train for Tasmania, where the honeymoon is to be spent, after which they will return to Woodville, Platina, their future home.
The bride's travelling dress was of champagne colored figured voile, trimmed with guipure lace and black velvet, and a white picture hat trimmed with poppies, lace and silk. The bride's gift to the bridegroom was a gold albert, and the bridesmaid's present to the bride a travelling bag. The presents received were choice and numerous.;Groom=Henry Thomas Simmons1
